What is Bomanite?
We are frequently asked “What is Bomanite?” Bomanite is a brand name, owned by The Bomanite Company, for decorative concrete products - including concrete colors, imprinting tools and sealers, among many others. Bomanite’s offices are located in Denver, Colorado. Over the years, The Bomanite Company has formulated hundreds of industry-leading and unique products, all of which meet the highest industry standards and are of the highest quality and consistency. Bomanite contractors are called Bomanite Licensed Contractors, each of which is independently owned and operated. There are over 250 Bomanite Licensed Contractors across the country, and countless more around the world. Since 1970 Heritage Bomanite has been a Bomanite Licensed Contractor, and that is what makes us different than other decorative concrete contractors in the Central Valley and Central Coast.
As a Bomanite Licensed Contractor (BLC), Heritage Bomanite receives specialty training directly from The Bomanite Company. We have attended countless training seminars at Bomanite’s national training facility in Denver. This training is what separates us from our competition, as we are continually fine tuning our capabilities. Additionally, The Bomanite Company holds an annual meeting that is attended by BLCs each year. By attending the training seminars and annual meeting, Heritage Bomanite maintains its strong relationship with hundreds of other Bomanite Licensed Contractors. Since BLCs don’t normally compete against each other in a single marketplace, these relationships allow a Bomanite Licensed Contractor to consult with their peers to resolve issues that come up occasionally when installing concrete flooring in different circumstances. No other decorative concrete contractor in Central California has access to such an extensive training and information network. That is what makes Heritage Bomanite the best decorative concrete contractor in our area! We are not always the least expensive, but we strive to provide the very best level of customer service and quality available. And when a problem arises (as occasionally happens in construction), we have the experience and resources, through Bomanite and the BLC network, to correctly identify the issue and promptly correct it.
Our success over the years has encouraged some contractors to try to duplicate our products and workmanship. Some of our competitors have gone so far as to say that they can install “Bomanite,” or that their work is the same as Heritage Bomanite’s work. Please understand that if you do not deal directly with our office and estimators and sign a Heritage Bomanite contract, you are not getting an original Bomanite product installed by Heritage Bomanite. We are the exclusive Bomanite Licensed Contractor in Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Mariposa, Inyo, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties in California. Attention! License and Insurance Information
Some of our competitors may not have a permanent place of business, may not have been in business for long, and/or may not be properly licensed or insured, all of which could create various problems for unsuspecting consumers. Please be aware that California law requires any contractor that does more than $500 of work, including labor and materials, at any single jobsite, to be licensed by the State. If you contract with an unlicensed individual or company to do more than $500 of work, you will have no recourse with the State should any problems arise on your project.
Additionally, most individuals and some companies that offer contracting services are not properly insured. Contractors are required by State law to carry workers compensation insurance for their workers (to cover any on-the-job injuries). Contractors should also have general liability insurance to cover any workmanship or quality problems as well as any damage to your property.
Contracting with unlicensed and / or uninsured or under-insured individuals or companies places you, the consumer, at financial risk if problems should arise. Heritage Bomanite is a licensed contractor and is properly insured for workers compensation and general liability. Our contractor’s license number is 832278.
To check license status and workers compensation insurance for any individual or contractor, please visit the Contractor’s State Licensing Board at www.cslb.ca.gov or call the CSLB at 800-321-2752. Additionally, you should request proof of general liability insurance directly from the individual or company you are considering doing business with, as this information is not available on the CSLB website.
